Sandblasting at Wüppenhorst

What actually happens to rusty skips or containers? With sandblasting, we prepare the objects ourselves so that the machine, the skip, the container or the other vehicles look like new again.
How does that work? We show you.

What is sandblasting?

Sandblasting is one of the surface treatment processes and is mainly used to remove rust, dirt, paint residues and other impurities. During the process, an abrasive is hurled at high speed onto the surface to be treated.

In practice, the speeds today are in the range of 20 to 300 metres per second. The peak values reach almost the speed of sound and are achieved through the use of compressed air.

This scraping action of the abrasive causes unwanted particles to be loosened and removed from the surface of the workpiece.

After the procedure, the skip or container is repainted and is now ready for use again.
